MATCH RESULTS

Ariya Daivari defeated Jake Atlas and August Grey via pinfall (10:56)

Atlas and Grey were supposed to wrestle in a singles match but Daivari got all up in his feelings about them talking about respect instead of money so he got himself inserted into the contest. The match itself was pretty standard in term of triple threat matches, where one person gets sent out to the floor between spots so the other two can have a “regular” match for a bit. It was a good one of those though that built the drama well and had a surprise victor in Daivari who does NOT win a lot of matches nowadays; he ended up getting the win after laying Atlas out with a gold chain and drilling Grey with a hammerlock lariat for the pinfall.

Extra special shoutout to the commentary team of Joseph & McGuinness as well whose chemistry makde this one fun to watch as well. McGuinness was in full Bobby Heenan mode here, praising Daivari for trying to sneak pins while also mocking Atlas for trying to do the same. These guys deserve to call a higher-tier show for sure and I hope they get the opportunity. McGuinness has become crazy entertaining on 205 Live.

2021 WOMEN’S DUSTY RHODES TAG TEAM CLASSIC: 1ST ROUND
Ember Moon & Shotzi Blackheart defeated Marina Shafir & Zoey Stark via pinfall (7:52)

Moon & Blackheart came out on the latter’s mini-tank looking straight out of a goddamn Mad Max movie and I love them to death for it. This was Stark’s WWE debut, having been signed alongside Gigi Dolin & Cora Jade (who debuted on last week’s show). She may be better known to you as Lacey Ryan but I don’t think I’ve seen her before this one. Not much of a surprise in terms of winners here, but Shafir & Stark did alright for a makeshift tag team, including a cool spot where Shafir slammed I think Moon onto Starks’ knees. Moon got the win for her team with her new submission finisher, making Stark tap. No Eclipse in this one.

OTHER HAPPENINGS

-None. This is 205 Live man, maybe we’ll get a Twitter video or something next week.
