‘NXT’ Moving to USA Network, Adding an Hour

It had been reported days ago by other media outlets, but it’s now official: NXT is moving to the USA Network on September 18th and will now be a two-hour show. The brand began as a reality show many moons ago before evolving into the company’s developmental territory. Making its splash on the WWE Network, NXT has now become bigger than “just” a developmental brand, touring across the country and holding sold out shows in big venues with its crazy deep roster of indie stars with a sprinkle of homegrown talent (Velveteen Dream being the biggest example).

This move is a blatant attempt at combating All Elite Wrestling who are debuting on the very same day over on TNT starting October 2nd and I am HERE FOR IT. Looks like we’ve got another weekend night war on our bands, baby! I am a little worried that the second hour will saturate NXT a bit, but if it makes their TV must-watch instead of “just there” I’m willing to give it a shot.

NXT begins its USA Network stint on September 18th at 8pm/7pm Central.
